Community Child Care Council of Sonoma County

The Community Child Care Council of Sonoma County (4Cs) is a nonprofit agency dedicated to the promotion and support of quality child care services for children and families through education, advocacy and direct services.

The mission of 4Cs is to inspire our community to support the well-being of every child and to improve the quality and availability of child care in Sonoma County. We strive to meet our mission through our many services offered to families and child care providers.

Community Child Care Council:
  • Prepares children for kindergarten, school and life success
  • Operates 13 high quality subsidized preschool programs throughout Sonoma County serving over 565 low income children
  • Helps thousands of parents select the best child care options for their children, providing free child care referrals and information about how to choose quality child care
  • Maintains the Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) of families waiting for help to pay for child care or preschool for Sonoma County’s state funded subsidized child care programs
  • Has a Resource Library with children’s books, toys and curriculum materials free for licensed providers and 4Cs members
  • Reimburses over 400 family child care providers in Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties for healthy snacks and meals served to children in their care
4Cs is funded by the California Department of Education, public and private funders and community supporters. 4Cs can always use volunteer support. Please contact 4Cs at 707-544-3077, or visit them on the web at www.sonoma4cs.org to make a donation or learn how you can be more involved.
